Its been a week or so that i have’nt posted anything here, it was because i was working on a marketplace for my blog, that i have sucessfully integrated in my blog now.

Whats A Marketplace?

A marketplace is a place where you can Buy/Sell/trade any thing that you wish. This is a great platform for people who want to sell websites/domains, Services like: graphic  Designs/traffic /templates, and much more.

Procedure:

Just go to marketplace and click on POST A NEW CLASSIFIED and you are almost done! you need to have an account. After you sign up ( 30 sec) , you will be able to post an classified ad for your business, free of cost!

There’s a common wisdom that personal blogging has slowly given way to microblogging: online sharing through Twitter and Facebook. Popular blogger Steve Rubel is a prime example: he recently declared that he would switch from blogging to life-streaming on Twitter, FriendFeed and Facebook.
But while personal blogging may have waned, professional blogs (like this one) have thrived. There are new, lightweight blogging communities springing up, too – Tumblr and Posterous being the most prominent examples (see Posterous vs. Tumblr: A Head to Head). These platforms are much less about long-form writing and more about instantly sharing snapshots of life: photos, videos, quotes and audio clips. But these still require you to update them everyday, and for a single writer, it’s tough to maintain a flow of new content and ideas.

Enter Tumblr Submissions, a Tumblr feature launched earlier this week that makes the blogging process totally collaborative. Building upon recent successes with Eat Sleep Draw, This is why you’re fat and Cute Overload, the service has made this form of community blogging available to all.

In short, you can now set up a blog on, say, cute cat pictures, or the best graffiti in Brooklyn, or long-exposure photography, enable submissions on the Customize page and wait for the new content to flood in via the web or email.

With free content from your readers, what’s your excuse for not updating your blog?

Many of you might have thought of email marketing , comparitively cheap way of promiting your website.

How ever I and my friend nick had a good research on the scope of email marketing and we were really turned down! yes, email marketing does’nt seem to work the way , it had worked a few years ago.

There are many reasons for the decline of email marketing:

• There is an increasing competition in email marketing.
• Email providers are becoming more and more strict,restricting you to affect their clients through this cheap marketing.
• people not  being intrested in reading or even opening emails from unknown senders.(known through survey)
• US cyber law also restricts a sender to only 200 emails a hour, you cant send more or else you might end up in jail, no joke!
• Besides, in email marketing its really getting very difficult to have valid email address (and even if the email is valid the user must be active , to have an effect.)

So, the bottom of the story is that email marketing is really come to an end & its not really worth spending on it!
